Pakistan’s used-car listings all share the same flaw: the seller writes the price. That single field is where inflated asking prices, endless haggling, and “final price” games come from. The TruPrice Feed removes that field entirely. It’s not a marketplace and not a posting board — it’s the publish layer of TruPrice’s tools, where every entry is the output of a fair-price assessment and TruPrice sets the price.
The Feed has two sides. Sellers list a car they own for sale; buyers post a car they’re looking for. Both carry the same locked TruPrice fair value — one side says “here’s this car at its fair price,” the other says “I want this car at its fair price.”
The one rule that changes everything
There is no “create a listing” button on the Feed. A listing can only come into existence as the result of a TruPrice calculation. Because there is no code path that accepts a seller-entered price, the only price that can ever appear is the one TruPrice computed. Price manipulation isn’t discouraged — it’s structurally impossible.
That means when you browse the Feed, you’re looking at cars that are already priced fairly by condition, mileage, city, and real market data — not wishful ad figures.
How an entry gets onto the Feed
Publishing is always a step at the end of a calculation, never a standalone action:
- Run a free fair-price assessment for a car (or pick one from the Budget Advisor).
- On the result screen, choose Publish to the Feed, then pick selling or looking to buy.
- Add a contact number. Sellers can also note aftermarket add-ons; buyers just add their city. There is no price field — the price is locked to the TruPrice value.
- The entry goes live immediately, tagged by city and category.
If there was no full inspection, you simply declare the condition (Excellent, Good, Fair) — a seller states the car’s condition, a buyer picks the condition they want — and the entry carries the fair value for that condition, computed by TruPrice, not typed in.
Two kinds of entry
- For sale (from a seller) — a specific car, priced at its TruPrice fair value, with condition/inspection detail and factory features.
- Looking for (from a buyer) — the car someone wants and the fair value they’ll pay, so sellers with a match can reach out. It’s minimal by design: just the chosen car and its fair value, nothing about the buyer’s wider search.
What a listing shows you
Every listing is far richer than a typical ad, because it’s built from an assessment rather than a paragraph of sales copy:
- The TruPrice fair value — locked to the assessment, with the fair value at each condition level.
- Condition or inspection detail — either the seller’s 8-point inspection scores, or TruPrice’s expected per-section scores for the declared condition.
- Factory features — the standard specification for that exact variant, pulled live from TruPrice’s catalog and marked Standard or Optional.
- Seller add-ons — any aftermarket extras the seller declares, kept clearly separate from the factory features and from the valuation.
- A TruPrice summary — a short, neutral description of the model and how its value behaves.
Contact stays private
Contact details are never printed in the page HTML. The other party taps Reveal contact to see the number — a buyer on a for-sale listing, or a seller on a buy request — and it’s rate-limited to keep scrapers and spam out. You provide a WhatsApp or call number once, when you publish — the way Pakistan actually transacts, without exposing the number to the whole internet.
Listings stay fresh — or disappear
A published listing isn’t frozen. The owner can refresh it — TruPrice re-runs the calculation so the price stays current as the market moves — and every listing auto-expires unless refreshed. The Feed never fills up with sold or stale cars.
Every price is verifiable
Each listing is tied to a Report ID and a cryptographic signature. Anyone can open the report and confirm the fair value is a genuine, untampered TruPrice calculation. The price on the Feed isn’t a claim — it’s a checkable result.
What the Feed is not
The Feed is informational only. TruPrice is not a party to any sale, takes no commission, and facilitates no transaction. It publishes cars at their fair value and lets a buyer reach the seller directly — nothing more. There is no “make an offer” field, and money can never move a car up the list or change its price.
